Review: Berry Crush
March 21st, 2009
Berry Crush offers a blend of fruit juice powders (Amla, pomegranate, lemon, cranberry, cherry, black currant and blueberry, among others), plus a few great herbs and botanical ingredients, such as pine bark extract (one of my favorite superfoods), grape seed extract, and hibiscus. It also offers a couple of veggie powders (carrot, broccoli, tomato and spinach). In all, this is a decent mixture of ingredients for an excellent price. My only criticism is the addition of stevia, which is a natural sweetening agent that has no affect on blood glucose levels, but tastes like an artificial sweetener. If you have no problem with the taste of stevia, then this product is an excellent value!
Manufacturer’s Description
Berrie Crush™ contains 100% of the daily requirements of Vitamin C per packet. And the Vitamin C is not synthetic; it’s a 100% natural vitamin C complex from Amla fruit. Amla fruit, sometimes called Indian Gooseberry, contains roughly 720 mg of vitamin C per 100g of fresh fruit pulp.

Taste
Light taste of mixed berries with a strong, sweet taste of stevia. Medium tartness. Best when mixed with a mild juice, such as apple or grape. When mixed with water, it’s a bit weak tasting (except for the stevia).
