At the present time, companies can use any "serving size" they want, without any restriction or regulation from the FDA. One box of crackers may use a serving size of 5 crackers, while another uses 12. Most bottled drinks use the size of the bottle as a single serving, but not all, as is the case with Zola Acai. So why manipulate the serving size? Usually manufacturers use the serving size that gives them the best looking "Nutritional Facts" panel.

For the crackers, a smaller serving size may lower the fat content per serving enough that the label can show zero (0) trans fats per serving. In the case of a drink, it may be both sugars and fats that they want to down-play by lowering the serving size.

So how much should you drink? Oh, heck...drink the whole bottle, as long as your body responds well. For some, Acai can be difficult to digest. For others, it produces a "nervous" energy that may not be pleasant. Let your body decide what's best.
